Schedule:
All library administrative staff may be required to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the year as part of the normal work schedule.

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Marketing and Production Supervisor, provides administrative support for the Marketing and Communications Strategy department and Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library.
  • Provides clerical support to the department, including maintaining Image Library in SharePoint
  • Posts library events on various websites, including, but not limited to, The Baltimore Sun, Avenue News, East County Times and Senior Beacon
  • Actively supports the Print Shop by operating the commercial digital press, preparing documents, configuring the digital cutter and setting up and running the automatic folder
  • Assembles, sorts, prepares and packages print materials for distribution to branches, Administrative Offices and external organizations
  • Organizes and maintains large quantities of print material for easy access and distribution
  • Receives, fills and distributes print material orders from branches in a timely manner
  • Must be able to meet scheduling requirements by arriving to work on time and staying until the end of one's shift
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be flexible with one's work schedule to meet daily operational requirements
  • Must have access to transportation, as needed, to fulfill the responsibilities of the position (including meetings, events and activities at other branch locations or offsite
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • One (1) year of experience in an office environment
  • Computer skills demonstrated through the proficient use of Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch and stretch for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read small print
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
